York Entrepreneurship Development Institute (YEDI)

An exciting new employment accelerator is helping dozens of businesses in DUKE Heights. York Entrepreneurship Development Institute is a charitable organization who provides top-tier business education and mentorship to innovative entrepreneurs from any sector or industry. YEDI is committed to ensuring that ideas with high impact are not lost due to lack of knowledge during the start-up process.YEDI, which is a free program for entrepreneurs linked to York University’s Schulich School of Business, has opened an 80,000-square foot campus on Alness Street. They are ranked as the third business accelerator in North America. As a business accelerator, they provide space, training and supports for all types of businesses.

The DUKE Heights BIA and Osgoode Hall Law School have teamed up to help increase employment and business success in the DUKE Heights community. Part of this partnership has resulted in an Online Legal Counsel Clinic for Entrepreneurs.
