Your privacy is important to Duke Heights BIA. This Privacy Policy explains how Duke Heights BIA collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information, including personal information collected by Duke Heights BIA through its website, mobile app and telephone calls and when providing products or services.
By providing Duke Heights BIA with your personal information, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of that information by Duke Heights BIA in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as otherwise permitted by applicable law. If you give Duke Heights BIA the personal information of another individual in connection with your use of Duke Heights BIA products or services, then you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including obtaining the individual’s valid consent, regarding your collection and disclosure of the personal information to Duke Heights BIA and to Duke Heights BIA use, disclosure and retention of the personal information.
Duke Heights BIA may automatically collect certain information regarding your use of Duke Heights BIA's website or mobile app, such as the dates and times that you use the website or mobile app, the browsers, operating systems, software and devices that you use to use the website or mobile app and details of your use of the website or mobile app.
If you install Duke Heights BIA's mobile app on your mobile device, then the settings of the device may permit the automatic transmission to Duke Heights BIA of diagnostic information and other information (including location data, discussed in section 3.(c)) regarding your mobile device and your use of the mobile app.
Duke Heights BIA’s websites, mobile app, email messages and advertisements may use technologies(e.g. cookies, web beacons, tokens, pixels or tags) to collect information that assists Duke Heights BIA to improve Duke Heights BIA's products, services, customer communications and advertising and to prevent fraud. Duke Heights BIA may use information collected through technological means to recognize you as a user of Duke Heights BIA’s mobile app, to facilitate and improve your use of Duke Heights BIA’s mobile app, to confirm that messages have been delivered to and opened by you and to provide you with targeted advertisements
You may choose to decline or disable cookies if your web browser or device permits, but doing so may affect your ability to access or use certain features of the website or mobile app.
Some of the information automatically collected by technological means is non-personal information (because the information does not identify you), and Duke Heights BIA will deal with that non-personal information as explained below in this Privacy Policy unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Duke Heights BIA’s mobile app installed on a mobile device may be configured to automatically collect precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of the mobile device, using various available technologies (including GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi access points and cell tower locations), and transmit that data (either in real time or later when the device has required connectivity) to Duke Heights BIA for use and disclosure as set out in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not want a Duke Heights BIA mobile app to access your device’s location data, then you might be able to use your devices settings to disable the transmission of location data but doing so might be a breach of the applicable terms of service or other agreements with Duke Heights BIA and you might not be able to proceed with your intended interactions with Duke Heights BIA or otherwise receive the full benefit of Duke Heights BIA’s products and services.
If the location data includes personal information, then Duke Heights BIA will treat the location data as personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If the location data does not include personal information or is depersonalized by Duke Heights BIA, then Duke Heights BIA will treat the location data as non-personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If Duke Heights BIA refers you to an independent business (e.g. a tax advisor or insurance provider) for a proposed product or service (e.g. tax advisory services or insurance), then Duke Heights BIA may collect information from that independent business regarding the transaction.
Duke Heights BIA uses your personal information collected by Duke Heights BIA for purposes relating to or arising from your relationship and transactions with Duke Heights BIA and as otherwise set out in this Privacy Policy or permitted by applicable law, including
– to administer your relationship with Duke Heights BIA, including to create and manage a confidential profile about you and your contract(s) with us,and to contact and correspond with you regarding those matters
– to provide products and services to you
– to facilitate your interactions and transactions with Duke Heights BIA, including to process your applications, requests, orders and transactions and send notifications to you
