Dear Resident,
COVID-19 infection rates are on the rise more than ever before. We need to try our best to prevent exposure to stay healthy. We should only be socializing with those we live with and making essential supply trips when needed. We may be in this situation for the long haul, but we will get through this challenging period together.
I worked with the Board of Health to ensure that we continue to have more COVID-19 pop-up testing opportunities throughout Humber River-Black Creek. Please visit my website www.anthonyperruzza.com for updates. These clinics need to be readily available to support individuals and families in our area.
Please visit the Ontario Government's website for the most up-to-date information on the stages and steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. https://news.ontario.ca/en. The City of Toronto will continue to circulate details about the evolving provincial guidelines specific to our region. https://www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/.
Community Safety Town Hall Update:
Last month MPP Tom Rakocevic and I co-hosted a Community Safety Town Hall. Many thanks to all of those who shared with us, including Mayor Tory, neighbourhood leaders, and panelists. We have taken your feedback and questions and look forward to keeping the conversation going. Community safety and neighbourhood renewal are closely linked, and we need to continue to work together to move towards a better future. If you missed the Town Hall, please reach out to my office at (416) 338-5335 or email councillor_perruzza@toronto.ca to provide your comments. We will follow up with you on future events related to this important subject.
Holiday Snapshot:
The holidays looked different this past season, but it gave me great joy to be able to work with Kitchen24 to help assemble and deliver over a thousand meals to those in need within Humber River-Black Creek. Thank you, Steve, for the opportunity to give back and make the season brighter. Happy New Year!
