Dear businesses neighbours,
We are all very excited for what is anticipated to be a fun and enjoyable summer due to the reopening of businesses, events and city spaces. I am looking forward in continuing our collaboration with DUKE Heights BIA into the summer and beyond to ensure that the business community has a fruitful and safe summer season. My office will be engaging with your local BIA on an array of planned events. These include a bike racing event, summer festival and giveaway opportunities.
Partnerships between my office and BIAs play an essential role in improving the relationship businesses have with the communities they serve. In addition to community events, other ways in which our office works alongside DUKE Heights is through various public realm enhancement projects such as a proposed sidewalk and crosswalk extension along Allen Road. This would allow better and safer traffic flow between pedestrians and cyclist in the area.
