Dear Resident,
The City of Toronto has announced month-long programming at three History Museums to honour Black History Month. The City will deliver this free event series to honour Black Freedom through music, culture, and uplifting storytelling. Events will be hosted at Spadina Museum (285 Spadina Rd.), Mackenzie House (82 Bond St.), and Todmorden Mills (67 Pottery Rd.) Please visit toronto.ca/blackhistory.
Summer CampTO lists are available to view online! Registration starts February 11 at 7 am. You can choose from CampTO, CampTO Explore, CampTO Plus, Counsellor in Training, or Adapted & Inclusive options for campers with disabilities or needing additional support. For CampTO and any information regarding drop-in classes and spaces available for current programming, please visit toronto.ca/recreation.
City crews are prepared to handle inclement weather, including ice, freezing rain, and snow, with a 24/7 response plan. Please be mindful when commuting throughout the cold season. Using the City's website, you can see real-time locations of plows, sidewalk clearing, and salt trucks. You can get those live updates by visiting the City of Toronto's website and searching PlowTO for the webpage or contacting my team and me for support. If you know a senior or someone with any accessibility concerns with snow clearing, my staff has a list of resources to share.
For details about how to weather-proof your home and prevent frozen pipes, visit at toronto.ca/frozenpipes.
