In the last week of November 2021, we arranged a business clean-up program to help interested BIA members dispose of their business waste, such as: construction debris, tires, furniture, electronics, batteries, and other junk. We received great response from a number of businesses who took advantage of this free program. Following the BIA invitation to sign up for the program, the participating members scheduled their respective timeslots for pickup by the appointed junk removal company. The original plan was for a one-day activity of collecting and disposing of local waste, which ended up with increased service days in the last week of November 2021 due to an overwhelming demand.
The quest for improvement in the area of waste management is ongoing. A coordinated and collective effort by our community and more 'green' initiatives in the area can take us a long way.
